Dali but no Lama

Today I arrived in Dali. A land of many people. The Erhai Lake welcomed me. The lake feeds the grass here so it grows very large indeed! Look! I felt like Honey I shrunk the Kids! The locals were a bit strange, and the hotel was a little "over the top" but all in all it made for a wonderful adventure. This city will be hard to forget, just like this local outfit I was talked into buying!

I feel like I've grown a little inside. Forced growth, but growth nonetheless. Traveling through the backside of China with no plan or map will do that. :-) But I can say with a straight face that I'm better for it. Cheers, Dali.

Leisure in Li Jiang

I feel like little Orphan Annie marching around my new adopted city's streets. I'm a total beach babe, but mountain towns have a relaxing feel too. I could get used to this. Fresh air. Friendly people and lots of adventure to be had. Started in the hotel. The dryer was outside. Woah! Rainstorm+Hairmergency=Suicide. Good to know you care 7DaysInn. I met three little Pixiu while i was shopping for a new jade piece. I don't have an old jade piece so i guess I'm just shopping. But I love this old animal - made to be lucky because it has one mouth and no a$$. That means that money goes in but it doesn't come out. Lucky indeed! Then I ran into that jolly waving guy again. He's so friendly. Always waving. So I helped him spread the joy. Yunnan is famous for its Snow Mountain neighbored by smaller snowless mountains. My dear pal Wish tricked me into climbing one mountains by horse. Then we had tea and went for a float with LiLu on Lashi Sea. It's a lake but they call it a sea. Next stop...Dali. Yunnan has been full of surprises so far. Let's see what's next!?
