Amra never says die!

ROAD TRIP!! What happens when you find out the Goonies House is only a short 4 - hour drive away!

With Good company in tow, I decided to take a drive down the coast to learn more about my Goonie heritage.

WOW! I made the pilgrimage to the Goonie house and it was not a welcoming place...let the adventure begin!
First stop, Cannon Beach. The walk to the water was littered with creepy crawlers.

Once I found a nice place to relax I took a power nap. The hike to haystack looks long!

Away we go.

Finally made it. And while I was walking the sun came out!
After I saw the rock I left quickly in case one-eyed Willy showed up. ;-)

Since I was no where nearby, I decided to swing by and see Washington's resident volcano.

This time I couldn't hike. Hitched a ride up 3,700 feet to get a closer look at Mt. St. Helen

The clouds covered, but it was a glorious day!
I decided to take to time to meditate and soak in the sun.

So glad I stuck around! The clouds began to break way and revealed Helen's huge crater.
Magnificent.

The day was long, but it was an adventure I'm glad to have ingrained in my memory.

Moving is Living #adventure

Guess where? Two hints. It's cold and either really bright or really dark.

Last clue... There is lots of water and rocks and ice and not many people...

ICELAND!!!!
On another adventure. Icelandair was kind enough to let me stop over and visit the Arctic circle.

There was a Christmas shop so I decided to stay awhile. :-) This is the closest I've ever been to Santa!

I wrote a letter and asked for someone to give me lots of kisses.

There wasn't one christmas tree (or any tree) growing anywhere, but it didn't stop me from exploring.

The Dating Scene was...unique...to say the least

Looks like Another Planet

Volcanic Rocks on the banks of lake Kleifarvatn

And more rocks......

...but these rocks smelled like Dinosaur farts and spewed a bubbling goo.
Made a friend in the sulfur hot springs. She loves rocks.....

She really loves rocks!!!

And drinks! We grabbed a salad to celebrate our adventure.

The roads were so colorful!

The Houses were neat too.

MORE ROCKS!!!

Then the rocks formed a path. Like the yellow brick road.

The path lead to...

The Blue Lagoon

My friend loved it! We decided to take a dip.

The water was warm, but not hot. The steam comes from the warm water meeting the cold air.
So magical.

My friend had so much fun she wanted to take this show on the road. Guess where we decided to head next....

One clue, it rains often and they keep time for the entire world

LONDON!!!

The clouds were dark, but it wasn't Voldemort scary.

Parliament

We stayed at the Park Plaza Hotel. Right in the middle of everything.

She's still looking for Rocks everywhere we go. #onlyalittleweird

We stopped by to see an old friend. She's really old. They call her queen mother.

He's another Queen, visiting the United Kingdom.

Market Shopping

We stopped into a local pub to enjoy some Pimm's

Once refreshed, we walked down a famous road.

Abbey Road!

All that walking made us thirsty again. So we stopped to refuel

Then we walked to the Market...

Ran into this legendary figure.

She didn't mind posing with me. :-)

They seem to really love cereal.

The next day we went to enjoy a hot beverage at the Queens favorite tea place

Then we had to do some shopping!!!!

Their cell phones were really big!!

The flowers were big too!

The men were a little...stiff. hahaha

So much sopping and fun. I even found a new buddy...
Meet my new buddy, Earl. Earl Gray. #ThanksSanta
My turtle buddy is going to love him.

London was nice, but once again it was time to hit the road.

My friend was exhausted, but she agreed to come along for another adventure...

Can you guess where we went next???

PARIS!!!!

We appreciated Art.

And imitated it.

Walked around...triumphantly.

My friend took lots of bread breaks.

And Art Breaks!!

And Church Breaks!!!

The children's choir did a great job with our singing send-off.

My friend was delightful, but it was time to say goodbye.

The road was long, but well worth the journey.
Until next time.
